Amnesia: Rebirth is a 2020 survival horror video game developed and published by Frictional Games. It was released for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 on October 20, 2020. It is the third installment in the franchise and serves as a sequel to Amnesia: The Dark Descent (2010). The game received generally positive reviews upon release. As PlayStation 5 is backwards compatible with PlayStation 4 games, the game can be bought and played on a PlayStation 5 as well.
The Microsoft Windows version is by far the best version of the game to use for speedruns as it has the most patches available for running, practice and research, supports a load removal tool and is used by the vast majority of the community. Additionally, the Steam version is the most versatile among the PC releases.
